On behalf of the Board of Directors, we would like to make everyone, especially Beaver Falls Area High School alumni, aware of the Big Beaver Falls Education Foundation. The Foundation was established in 2001 and raises money to award annual scholarships totaling $3,000-$5,000 to worthy BF students for post-secondary education. Currently 3 BF students are receiving scholarship funds. The Board Members are volunteers and include former BBF faculty, graduates and community members. We receive no compensation and all proceeds, less expenses, go directly into the scholarship account. The scholarship fund consists of a general fund and a Memorial Fund in honor of Jamie Potter, son of Mr. George and Mrs. Paulette Potter, who died tragically in an automobile accident. Contributions may be made to either fund; both support scholarships. The Jamie Potter Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year at the BFHS Commencement Ceremony. The Big Beaver Falls Education Foundation is an IRS certified 501(c)3 organization and all contributions are tax deductible.
